Hippocampal development

C3 exoenzyme from Clostridium botulinum which is known to act on Rho proteins can cause axonal alterations of central neurons. The aim of our studies is to elucidate the effects of C3 toxin on the dendritic organization of identified neurons in the CNS. Quantitative analysis is based upon intracellularly filled pyramidal neurons in the developing hippocampus.
